Chain O' Lakes State Park (11 Miles)

This park borders the Grass, Marie and Nippersink lakes, as well as the Fox River, which connects 7 additional lakes along the "chain." Enjoy boating, fishing, hunting, and water skiing a stone's throw from Chicago.

Rockford, IL (55 miles)

Known as Garden City, Rockford is one of the largest cities in Illinois, after Chicago. Camp just outside town at Rock Cut State Park, and head into the city to enjoy the gardens that give it its name, including Anderson Japanese Gardens, considered one of the two best Japanese Gardens in the global west.

Galena, IL (135 miles)

A little farther from our facility, but well worth the trip, Galena was the home of Ulysses S. Grant. Much of the town's 19th century history, including Grant's home, campaign headquarters, and family leather shop is preserved. Galena also boasts a charming downtown known for its restaurants and shops.
